Pattern - Stripey Mug Rugs

My new obsession is making these 'Mug Rug' coasters!
They are so fun and satisfying to hook up and I think they look really cool as a coaster! The first set I made are these stripy ones for my Etsy shop (and some for myself too!) and I would love to share the free pattern with you!

Pattern in UK Terminology

Hook - 4mm

Yarn
Cotton DK in pale pink and bright pink

Measurements
The rugs measure 11cm x 9cm

Rug - Make 4

With bright pink, ch21

Row 1 - 1tr in 4th ch from hook, 1tr in each of next 17 chs, turn [18 sts]

Row 2 - Ch3(counts as a st throughout), 1tr in each st to end, turn [18 sts]

Fasten off and join pale pink

Rows 3 & 4 - Repeat Row 2 [18 sts]

Fasten off and join bright pink

Rows 5 & 6 - Repeat Row 2 [18 sts]

Fasten off and join pale pink

Rows 7 & 8 - Repeat Row 2 [18 sts]

Rows 9 & 10 - Repeat Row 2 [18 sts]

Tassels

With bright pink cut 144 x 5cm pieces of yarn. One section is to be attached to each bright pink edge of the rug, as per the picture

To attach the tassel, hold the piece of yarn in the middle, insert hook through the st you are attaching to from the back to the front, hook the middle section of yarn, pull through so you have a loop, then pull the tails through the loop and pull lightly to tighten
